Performance Opportunities

Rebelle Movement provides performance opportunities to adult dancers of all levels with Rebelle Ballet and Rebelle Burlesque, volunteer performance groups based out of the Rebelle Movement studio. Rebelle Movement is also the home studio for Elite Dance Company, an audition-based adult performance company with Artistic Director, Roshny Bhakta Martuscelli.

 

Rebelle Ballet is for adults of all levels that would like to perform for various community-based events. We rebel against the notion that adults must have started dance in their youth to perform. We provide an opportunity for adults of all levels of instruction to perform, showing it is never too late to start dancing.  Multiple styles will be featured, but the focus is on contemporary ballet and occasionally tap. Choreography for Rebelle Ballet will be taught during special rehearsals near the date of the performance opportunity.

 

Rebelle Burlesque is for adults that would like to perform burlesque at various events. Multiple skill levels will be featured, but the focus will be on more intermediate/advanced choreography learned during Burlesque classes. For both groups, amateur and professional level dancers are encouraged to participate. No audition is required. Participants will learn original choreography and focus on enhancing their performance skills.

Elite Dance Company is an audition-based adult performance company with Artistic Director, Roshny Bhakta Martuscelli. They train in a variety of way of styles of dance from jazz to hip hop to contemporary and more. While their focus is primarily performing, Elite aims to provide opportunities to train at an "elite" level and help dancers reach their goals by offering on-going dance workshops & classes for the Eugene/Springfield Dance Community. They are defined by their strength, agility, style, poise, technique, flexibility, and overall stage presence. Elite's goal is simple: to be a positive and creative outlet for adult dancers who want to take their performance skills to the edge.
